Welcome to idostuff!

Hi! I'm Oliver (he/they), I want this site to be a place where I store things I find interesting and to keep a log of projects I start.

I'm an infrastructure and hardware nerd, and in general a serial hobbyist: I reverse engineer things, build stupid stuff, grumpily reject the modern internet and spend too much time on recent obsessions. I enjoy dev bits and bobs too, but I'm not very good.

A tad queer.

For work, I am a Platform Engineer. I'll probably add some more work-related bits and bobs to this website at some point, as it is a flavour of tech work that I find genuinely enjoyable.

The hosting for these sites is dependant on decisions made by a very bespoke loadbalancer setup, you're either reading this from a container floating about my unhinged local "tech recycling" k8s cluster, or it's on a dull instance on hetzner. These sites are made for a proper computer with a screen, not a phone.

If for some reason you want to get in contact with me, you can email me, or add me on Discord.
